Domino 8.5.3 scheduled mail agent not working with duplicate group names!

Yes, we have the same issue. We will definitely have to downgrade back to 8.5.2 until this issue is resolved.

Domino 8.5.3 scheduled mail agent are not working if a group name is addressed more than once in an email (or if it is explicitly addressed and nested in another group). Basically, duplicate group recipient names in the same email fail which is a new behavior. It previously worked fine on all prior versions. The Log reports error "Document has invalid structure".

Example 1: We have a group called "Mailing List 1". If the agent sends to this group in both the TO and CC field it will fail every time with error as seen below.

Example 2: We have a group called "Mailing List 1". If the agent sends to this group in the TO field and to a group called "Mailing List 2" in the CC field (with Mailing List 1 as a member) it will fail every time with error as seen below.

We were able to perform a workaround on 1 of the agents as seen below.

For example, we have a schedule LScript agent which sends to a group "MIS Notification" in the TO and CC field. We were able to fix it using either workaround as seen below which is quite ridiculous.
A. We changed the code to include the Notes domain. i.e. MIS Notification@MyNotesDomain
B. Edit the Domino group and add the Notes domain to the group member. i.e. MIS Notification@MyNotesDomain

This workaround will not help us since we have 100's of agents which have the same issue. We cannot change all of them since impossible to identify which ones have issue and cannot wait to see what breaks due to business financial loss.

Does IBM have a hot fix? I opened IBM ticket: PMR 70651,7TD,000
